Browne Johnson Land Surveyors is a professional legal survey firm located in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. We engage in the following wide fields of duties:

The survey firm was established in Salmon Arm by M.D. Browne, B.C.L.S., and has operated continuously since 1961. Traditionally, our practice has been in the Central Interior region of British Columbia. This encompasses an area stretching from the B.C./Alberta border in the east through Golden, Revelstoke, Salmon Arm, and Kamloops in the west; and from the limits of the Shuswap Lake in the north to Vernon in the south.

The Company has not been limited to this region however, as other projects have been undertaken in various locations throughout British Columbia and the Canadian Territories. In addition, company principals and employees have extensive overseas experience with projects in United States, Africa, Europe, South and Central America, and the Middle East.

Personnel
The firm consists of two commissioned British Columbia Land Surveyors as principals along with an additional land surveyor/professional engineer, two field technicians and their assistants. All personnel possess an excellent working knowledge of survey methods and procedures for all types of surveys. Each member of our team demonstrates a strong personal character and willingness to work within both urban and remote areas. In addition, the firm operates from a fully equipped 2,000 sq. ft. office and has experienced drafting and support staff.

Equipment and Technology
This firm has always attempted to work with the latest technological advances in our industry. We currently utilize two Topcon GT302 total stations using TDS data collection software. We operate two fully equipped field survey vehicles (4x4s) with all standard survey support equipment and supplies (including VHF communications).

Our field computers consist of Pentium notebooks and Hewlett-Packard hand-helds. Our office computing capability includes the latest in computers technology for the COGO/CAD workstations running MSCad2002, AutoDesk Map 5.0, and AutoCad2002 software. Our plots and final drawings are prepared on an 'E' size multi-pen drum plotter. The office is fully supported with the latest Office software monitoring all aspects of jobs.
